Lumina’s assistant for teachers: what you ask, and what happens after review

A practical guide to the workflows available today: explanations, a course draft, lookups, attaching a video, and importing PDF questions.

This is a product guide written by the Lumina team on 26 October 2026 from how the assistant behaves in the platform. It is not a customer case study, and it does not promise hours saved.

Who it is for

Teachers and academy staff inside the admin. A student homework question or a lesson explained to a pupil is not this assistant’s job.

Four kinds of reply

  • Explanation: you ask how to schedule an exam, and it cites the steps from the platform guide. You carry them out.
  • Suggestion, then a draft: you ask for a course on a topic. It suggests the title, description, and outline. After you accept and confirm, a draft is saved. It is not published.
  • Lookup: you ask how many students are in a course you can see. It reads the figure when your permission allows. It does not change enrollment.
  • A proposed action: you ask to attach a library video to a lesson. It prepares the proposal and waits for you to confirm.

Questions from a file

On the question bank screen you can upload a PDF. The system proposes questions, and you import the ones you review. That does not publish an exam, and it is separate from the chat. It needs permission to generate questions and a plan that includes the assistant.

Before you rely on it in a brochure

Check that your plan shows the assistant in the comparison table, and that the role may use it. Daily use is limited. If the model provider fails, the rest of the platform keeps working and the assistant says it is unavailable.

Questions

Are the examples on the site real chats?

No. They illustrate the workflow, without student or academy data.
