These terms govern your use of luminaedu.ai and the Lumina service for creating and running learning platforms. By creating an account or buying a plan you accept them. If you act for an academy or organization, you confirm you may bind it to these terms.
The service
Lumina provides online software that lets you create an academy in your name on a lum.ac address or your own domain, and manage courses, students, exams, and payments. Lumina is a software provider only. It is not an educational body and does not guarantee study results or earnings.
Accounts and academies
- You must be an adult and give accurate, up-to-date details.
- Your customer account on luminaedu.ai is separate from the academy admin account.
- You are responsible for protecting passwords and for all activity on your accounts.
- You can buy more than one platform on the same account, each with its own subscription.
- A subdomain is not yours until the order completes. Reserved, misleading, or infringing names may be refused.
Plans and prices
Features and prices are shown on the plans page and before payment, in Egyptian pounds unless stated otherwise, monthly or yearly. A price increase does not affect a period you already paid for. Video hosting and paid themes are billed separately where stated. Enterprise plans are set by agreement.
Payment and renewal
- The platform starts after payment is confirmed.
- Renewal is not automatic at this time. You complete payment from your account before the period ends.
- After a period ends you may get a grace period, then the platform may become read-only or have limited access until renewed.
- Refunds follow the refund policy.
Demo mode
When a demo notice is shown, purchases are for trying the platform and no real money is charged. We may stop or delete demo academies or ask you to upgrade to a paid plan, so do not rely on them for live use.
Your content
Your academy's content and student data stay yours. You give us only the permission needed to host, display, and process them to run the service. You confirm you hold the rights to everything you upload.
Academy responsibilities
- The accuracy and quality of teaching content and how it is advertised.
- Obtaining student and guardian consent where required, and complying with data laws.
- Publishing its own terms and privacy policy for its students.
- Pricing and collecting course fees, taxes, student refunds, and student support.
Student payments
Student payments are between the student and the academy, through the methods the academy enables. Lumina is not a party to that relationship and does not guarantee settlement. Payment gateways have their own terms and fees.
Artificial intelligence
AI output, such as content drafts, extracted questions, and grading, may be inaccurate. Review it before publishing or relying on it. The final decision is yours.
Acceptable use
You may not use the service for:
- Illegal, misleading, or abusive content, or copyright infringement.
- Fraud, phishing, or unlawful data collection.
- Breaking or disrupting the service, bypassing plan limits, or accessing another academy's data.
- Reselling the service without a written agreement.
Intellectual property
Lumina, its software, designs, and brand belong to us or our licensors. A subscription gives you the right to use the service only for its duration.
Availability
We work to keep the service available and supported, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may carry out maintenance or change features, and we avoid changes that materially reduce what you paid for in your current period.
Suspension and ending
You can stop renewing at any time. We may suspend an account or academy for breach of these terms, non-payment, or risk to the service or others. You should save your data before your subscription ends, as we may delete it a reasonable time afterwards.
Limits of liability
The service is provided as is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, or lost data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid Lumina in the twelve months before the claim. This does not limit any right that cannot legally be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms and will post the new date here. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it. We tell account holders about significant changes.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. We try to resolve disagreements amicably before going to the competent courts.
